Crowne Plaza Melbourne Hotel is located on Riverside. Very Great view at night. As I have been there before I think this hotel can serve your right. I think you can also check through the website too at http://www.excelloz.com/Oceania/Australia/Melbourne.html
Try the Docklands.
The Rialto Hotel is the second tallest building in Melbourne-you can see for miles on a clear day. The Eureka Tower is the tallest building in Melbourne, but I don’t think it has motel accommodation, although I’m pretty sure it’s got an observation deck.
Sofitel in Collins Place is the most well known and the tallest building. It is also expensive. There is a hotel in Flinders Lane called the Adelphi which has a swimming pool on the roof. Part of the pool juts out over the sidewalk way below and that part of the pool has a glass bottom. Again, pretty expensive but an interesting view.
